Sydney Newborn Photographer

Those first days with your newborn that are a blur of soft skin, tiny fingers, and wide eyes full of wonder.

Our newborn sessions are calm, flexible, and baby-led, whether that means a cozy corner of your home or a golden field at sunset. We work around feeds, cuddles, and naps, capturing your baby just as they are, in your arms or on their own. You don’t need to tidy up or pose. This is about comfort, connection, and holding on to the little things that pass too quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When is the best time to do a newborn photoshoot?

The ideal time for a newborn photoshoot is within the first 5–14 days after birth. Babies are still very sleepy and curled up, making it easier to capture those soft, peaceful moments. However, I also photograph older newborns—up to 6 weeks or more—with a relaxed, natural approach that works beautifully at any stage. Let’s capture your little one, book a session today!

  • What should we wear for our newborn photoshoot?

Neutrals, soft tones, and comfortable fabrics work best—think cozy knits and timeless textures. I’ll send you a style guide before your session to help you choose outfits that feel natural and photograph beautifully. The most important thing is that you feel relaxed and like yourself. You can find more inspiration in this blog.

  • How long does a newborn photography session take?

Newborn sessions typically last between 1.5 to 2 hours. I follow your baby’s lead, allowing time for feeding, cuddles, and breaks. Everything moves at a calm pace, so the session feels gentle and stress-free for both baby and parents.

  • What if my baby is fussy or won’t sleep during the session?

That’s perfectly okay—every baby is different, and I work patiently with their rhythm. Whether your baby is awake, feeding, or needing cuddles, we’ll go with the flow. Some of the most beautiful photos come from the in-between moments.
